• This nationally recognised course is designed for those people who wish to work as a beauty therapist in the beauty industry as part of a team of therapists under supervision. This course combines the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and hands on experience in a key range of treatments required for graduates to operate as a beauty therapist. This course requires students to successfully complete 25 units of competence, comprising 17 core units and 8 elective units.

Career Options

• Beauty therapist working under supervision for a hotel, day spa, health retreat, cruise liner or a beauty salon.
• Sales, marketing or training role for a product house or department store.
• Articulation to a Diploma of Beauty Therapy

Course Duration

• 3 days per week over 11 or 12 months, dependent on time of enrolment.
• 
  Students in grade 11 or 12 may complete this course as part of the VET in schools program.

Study Options

• On campus: Full time study: 3 days per week over 12 months. Timetables will be issued to students prior to commencement of study.
• Part time: Part time hours may be arranged with AST. This is usually 1-2 days per week.

Fee Structure

• Payment plans are available to all eligible students. Fee structure is as follows.
• $950.00 application fee
• $1170.00 deposit prior to courses commencement (15% of course cost)
• Balance of $5680.00 paid in instalments
• 
  Total fees $7800.00
• 
  Students may also pay fees in advance and be eligible for discount.
• 
  The application fee is deducted from the course fees and is to secure a place in the course and must be paid when Application and Enrolment Forms are submitted.
• 
  Full time students that meet Centrelink criteria are eligible for benefits.
